The arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) 2D code has been developed in Cartesian and cylindrical geometries. For laser plasma simulations, the code has been extended by licat conductivity, laser absorption and QEOS equation of state. Three particular problems (originated in laser plasma experiments) for which pure Lagrangian simulation fails demonstrate the necessity Of Using the ALE method.
